‘Cause the times are changing’… the conference has finished. A year after, we did it! we present the panel together and it was wonderful to see Annette Markham and David Silver again, they always take care about the things that matter, and you feel that when you are nearby. During the banquet, we were sharing our general impressions with Smiljana Antonijevic and I think we were agree that Internet Research is going through a transformation, that the field is changing more quickly than scholars can follow, that the “old” conceptual framework -community, cyberspace, online interaction, etc.- does not respond to the variety of current technologies and uses, and that the “object”itself -the “internet” does not resist an aggregate perspective, nor a positivistic view by which it constitutes by itself the isolated object of study of our search for knowledge.
